
Although I'm more inclined to go for a run on a beautiful day like today, on the rainy days of the year in Vancouver (which are more often that I would like), it's probably better to hit up the local gym so that I can work off that venti-sized mocha I had in the morning. Normally, you'd be restricted to things like treadmills and exercise bikes to help you burn off the calories, but one Vancouver gym is offering a fairly unique alternative.
Studeo55 (no, that's not a typo) recently added a Nintendo Wii to their gym, allowing clients to "challenge their personal trainers to sporty video games and feel the burn in a very high-tech way." The game that comes bundled with the system -- Wii Sports -- includes five different mini-games: boxing, tennis, bowling, baseball, and golf. Gym owner Nathan Mellalieu says it’s been a big hit among his patrons.
