Where to let your dog off leash in Vancouver

A 500-square-foot condo and a hyperactive dog can be a city dweller's worst nightmare. Fortunately, Vancouver has a number of off-leash dogs parks where Fido can go for a run and make some doggy friends.

The parks closest to Downtown are:

• Stanley Park (near the shuffleboard court area)
• Nelson Park (1030 Bute St.)
• Sunset Beach (1204 Beach Ave.)
• Vanier Park (1000 Chestnut St.)
