West Named Vancouver's Best Restaurant

Vancouver Magazine has just gone and announced their 2008 Restaurant Awards today and the winner comes as little surprise to anyone who has ever dined there. The best restaurant in the city, according to Vancouver Magazine judges, is West. They say that the "restaurant gives a nod to trends but is never dictated by them."

The chef who was running the kitchen through 2007, the period which the award covers, was David Hawksworth. David left in February 2008, handing the reigns over to Warren Geraghty. West owner Jack Evrensel couldn't be prouder and he's confident that Warren will be able to uphold the quality that diners have come to expect from West.

Coming in at second and third place are Cioppino's and Blue Water Cafe, respectively.
