Vancouver Giants Purchased by Michael Buble

Well, he didn't buy the whole thing, but he has now become a part of the Vancouver Giants franchise. It has now been announced that Canadian crooner Michael Buble has purchased himself a minority stake in the Western Hockey League team in Vancouver.

Buble will be among a good group of co-owners. Other minority co-owners include Sultan Thiara, legendary NHL coach Pat Quinn, and hockey's living legend Gordie Howe. Majority ownership is still retained by Ron Toigo, from whom Buble bought his minority stake.

Michael Buble said that he "couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful team, management and ownership - a group of winners." He's a native of Burnaby, so the WHL Giants are very much a hometown team for him.
