Vancouver Folk Music Festival This Weekend

vancouverfolkmusicfestival30.gif

I realize that it's just Monday, but with the sun beaming outside, it's hard not to think about the upcoming weekend. You could hit up the beach or go for a stroll along the Seawall, but for melody-loving aficionados, there is the 30th Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival. 'Cause we could all use a little music this summer.

Scheduled to kick off on July 13th and running until July 15th, the Folk Music Festival will take place on eight outdoor stages at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver. Over the course of the three-day event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy almost fifty different international performers. Notables include Ganga Giri from Australia, Sarah Jane Morris from England, and The Be Good Tanyas from right here in BC.

The festival is attended by over 10,000 people each year, and we fully expect that this year's event will be just as much a success as the 29 that preceded it.

For tickets and more information, check out the Folk Music Festival's official website at thefestival.bc.ca.
