Vancouver Film School Scholarship Available Through YouTube

youtube-vfs.jpg

Wow, that almost makes sense. YouTube is probably the most popular video-sharing service on the web these days and it provides an excellent venue for amateur filmmakers to show off what they can do.

Vancouver Film School has decided to teamed up with YouTube for an international competition and the prize is three full-tuition VFS scholarships. These are worth between $17,000 and $52,750.

Getting into the esteemed film school can be pretty challenging already, let alone raising the funds to handle the tuition. If you've got some crazy creative skills, though, this contest will give you a free roll. You have until May 9th to enter and contestants "can submit a three-minute video of film, animation, or creative pitch, based on the theme of "What Matters to You"."

After the videos have been submitted, web visitors will vote on the entrants -- from May 20 to 27 -- and the winners will be announced on May 30th. Check out this page for more info.
