Using Second Life to Recruit Real Life Cops

That's the strategy that the Vancouver Police Department is employing in order to get some new officers on the force. The VPD is the first police department to have officer representation in the Second Life universe.

Based on the pictures provided, Vancouver cops wear skin tight uniforms, complete with badges and law-enforcing weaponry. This is definitely an interesting strategy and it speaks to the innovative means that departments have to take in order to garner interest from the public, particularly younger people. Youth are increasingly detached from their first lives, so to speak, so you've got to attract them with sexy cop avatars, I guess.

To serve, to protect, and to look hot doing it. Why can't I find any real female cops that look like that?
