Up to 99% Discount For Students on VSO Tickets

symphony.jpg

We all know about the starving student. The one that eats nothing but Kraft Dinner and instant noodles, struggling to get from class to class each day. Thankfully, there are advantages to being a student too and one of those is the ability to get Vancouver Symphony Orchestra tickets at hugely discounted rates.

The VSO opened up registration for their Student Access Pass program today. Students from any school -- just show them your ID -- can sign up for this program that offers tickets for just $10 each. For that price, you don't get reserved seating. Instead, you're offered "the best open seating in the house (A-section or better) for the evening."

By contrast, a top-notch ticket to Beethoven's No.9 could cost a university student as much as $499. I'd say that the $10 seat sounds like a better deal, representing a 99% discount off the regular VSO price.
