Things to do in Stanley Park

Did you know that Stanley Park is bigger than New York City's Central Park? It's true! And there's a lot more to do in the park than just walk its lovely paths or enjoy the green open spaces. If you've got some free time this summer, and you're looking for ways to spend it outdoors, Stanley Park is full of fun and interesting things to do, like:

  1. Take a 15-minute ride on the miniature train.
  2. Visit the Children's Farmyard, home to 200 animals, birds, and reptiles.
  3. Play a round of pitch and putt on the 18-hole course.
  4. Watch a game of cricket or rugby at Brockton Oval.
  5. Cool off at the free children's water park or the pool at Second Beach.
  6. Take a horse and carriage ride with Stanley Park Horse-Drawn Tours.
  7. Get out your bike or rollerblades (or rent them) and explore the Seawall.
  8. Visit the "traffic school" for kids aged 5-8.

There's a free shuttle that runs through the park, stopping at 15 designated spots. It runs every 12-15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. through to Sept. 21. So take some time to visit this city landmark this summer!
