The Greenest Person on the Planet

plantatree.jpg

We could all be a little greener. You could recycle more. You could ditch the car in favor of a bicycle for your daily commute. You could convert your biological waste into fuel to heat your home. There is always something that you can do to be a little nicer to Mother Nature.

With all of these environmental concerns, you may be wondering who is the greenest person on the planet. Who is doing the absolute most to be the kindest to the environment? That's the question being answered by 3rd Whale, a sustainability website run by SFU professor Boyd Cohen.

After culling through 600 entrants from 25 countries, the list of the nominees for the greenest person on the planet has been slimmed down to just 50. And nine of those finalists happen to be from Metro Vancouver. Yes, it may be a little skewed, but it's got to be a point of pride to say that we have some of the greenest people on Earth!
