Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival

telusski.jpg

The end of the season is upon us, so Whistler wants to go out with a monumental bang. Set to start on April 11th (that's this Friday) is the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival. The resort town will get packed for ten days -- the festival ends on April 20th -- of events with fun for people of all ages and of all interests. In addition to the live concerts, you can also take in several pro ski and snowboard competitions, "legendary" arts events, and of course that nightlife that has made Whistler so famous among both locals and tourists alike.

Some of the highlights include concerts from such artists as DJ Crooked, John Butler Trio, Current Swell, Ill Scarlett, and Blackalicious. If you're more about competition, be sure to check out the big air and superpipe comps. And yes, you can probably drink to your heart's delight too.
