Spice Girls Coming to Vancouver

Although most of the attention is still placed squarely on David Beckham and his introduction to Major League Soccer in Los Angeles, his wife is apparently prepared to make a North American splash with her gal pals from several years back.

Back in 1996, the Spice Girls were the hottest thing going, proving that focus groups really can create successful pop groups. The five gals didn't know each other prior to forming the singing troupe, but boy did they love one another when the money started pouring in. And now they're going on a reunion tour and Vancouver is going to be one of their stops. That performance is scheduled for December 2, the first show of the tour and the only Canadian stop.

Other concerts along the way include Shanghai, China and San Jose, California.
