Spamalot at The Centre in Vancouver

215px-Spamalot_Poster.jpgIf you're a crazy over-the-top Monty Python fan, you've probably already seen Spamalot. But if you're only a major Monty Python fan -- or if you just like silly musicals -- you've got until July 27 to catch this zany piece of theatre at The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts.

"Lovingly ripped off from" their 1975 movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot was written by Eric Idle. The Broadway version has been running since 2005 and has won three Tony awards. The Vancouver version doesn't feature the Broadway cast, of course, but hey -- you'll save yourself the plane fare to New York!

Tickets for the orchestra and dress circle sections are $69 - $89, and balcony seats are $69 - $79. The balcony has the peculiar warning that you'll have a limited view from Row 1 if you're under 5'5".

The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts is located on Homer St. between Robson and Georgia. There's no parking on site, but there is pay parking at the library.

You can buy tickets to Spamalot through Ticketmaster.
