Rock Band Vancouver Preliminary Round Tonight

If you're a fan of the video game "Rock Band," there's an event on tonight you should know about. It's the preliminary round of the Rock Band Battle of the Bands. This contest feature wanna-be rock stars rocking out to win the title of Best Rock Band in BC, plus a bevy of prizes, including a 7-day trip to a tropical destination.

Players can compete on easy, medium, hard or expert. There's a top prize for each category, and teams can lay in the competitive, social, corporate, or under-18 divisions.

The preliminary round takes place at EA's main gaming studio in Burnaby. You can get tickets to watch the event for $5, or register a band for $100. Proceeds go to the Make a Wish Foundation.
