R.E.M. Is Going to Rock Deer Lake Park

Looking outside at this recent snowfall, I realize that the last thing on your mind right now would be to head outside for a rock concert, especially an outdoor one. Don't worry. All this white stuff would have surely melted by the time pop music heavyweights REM arrive later this year to kick off a spring tour promoting their new album.

REM plans on releasing their new record, Accelerate, on April 1st and then they'll be kicking off a tour in May. The tour will start in Burnaby where REM will be playing on May 23rd. The concert is set to take place at Deer Lake Park and REM will be joined by Modest Mouse and The National.

No word on when tickets will go on sale, so stay tuned to places like Ticketmaster for further information.
