Planning a Pacman Fight in Vancouver

No, I'm not talking about that yellow smiley face that goes around gobbling little white orbs. Word on the street is that Manny Pacquiao, a famous Filipino boxer, could be holding his next fight in Vancouver. Our city is perhaps better known as a hockey town, but there is a very significant Filipino population here that would likely be very interested in seeing "Pacman" duke it out in the boxing ring with some poor sap.

They haven't decided on Manny's next opponent just yet, but it will most likely be either Humberto Soto of Mexico or the Dominican Republic's Joan Guzman. The latter is the current reigning WBO champion. The opponent will be named when the site is finalized.

Other than Vancouver (which is "leading the race"), the other possibility is Macau, China. Of course, we'd prefer if they host the fight here. After all, we don't get much in terms of boxing around these parts.
