Olympic Countdown Clock Stops Ticking

2010clock.jpg

You know that awesome digital clock that is counting down to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver? It's been quite the showpiece for the city and it's done a great job of building up all kinds of excitement. However, a clock isn't very useful when it's not working and that's exactly what just happened to our prized Olympic Clock.

Seemingly for the reasons of faulty wiring, the countdown clock for the 2010 Winter Olympics "has taken a time-out." It stopped working on early Thursday morning and now technicians are hard at work to figure out exactly what went wrong, how they can fix it, and hopefully how they can prevent this from happening again. The maintenance crew has already been dispatched, so we should be counting down again shortly.

The good news is that the problem does not appear to be the result of vandalism or other misdeeds.
