Official Beer Sponsor of the 2010 Olympics

molsonbeer.jpg

The 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver and Whistler are getting all sorts of corporate sponsors and official suppliers. We've already determined which will be the official airport of the games and who will be the official supplier of dairy products, but what about who is going to provide us with our pint of brew?

VANOC has announced today that Molson will be the official supplier of beer for the 2010 Winter games. When you find yourself at one of the world class sporting events during the games, there's a good chance that you may have a Molson product in your hands, like Canadian, pictured here. That's because Molson will be the exclusive supplier in the beer product/service category for the games. This exclusivity agreement kicks in on January 1, 2009.

An extension of the deal has also been established for the London 2012 Games where the Canadian Olympic team will be supplied with Molson products. Yup, that's what we need: inebriated athletes.
