Non-Stop to Yellowknife with Air Canada Jazz

jazzplane.jpg

The city of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories (NT) is one of the most remote areas in the nation. It can be difficult to access, and the easiest way to get in and out of Yellowknife is with a plane. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any sort of non-stop service from Vancouver to Yellowknife up until now. That's all about to change.

Air Canada Jazz has just announced that they will soon be offering non-stop daily service between the NWT capital and Vancouver via a Bombardier CRJ. A similar service is already being offered out of Calgary and Edmonton.

The 50 passenger commuter plane will leave Yellowknife Airport (YZF) each morning at 9:05am, arriving at Vancouver Airport (YVR) at 10:40am, local time. The trip from Vancouver to Yellowknife departs at 12:15pm and arrives at 3:45pm, local time. For residents of Yellowknife, this finally provides an easy gateway to Tokyo (NRT), Osaka (KIX), and other Asian destinations.
