No Dinosaurs in Stanley Park

dinosaur.jpg

In an effort to bring in more revenue, the Vancouver Park Board was considering a proposal that would see somewhere between 20 and 30 animatronic dinosaurs invade Stanley Park. Admission would be charged and the Board was hoping that it'd be a major cash cow. And then realized how stupid an idea it was.

Commissioners at the Vancouver Park Board have officially declared that there will be no robotic dinosaurs in Stanley Park. It never really made sense in the first place, because the West Coast isn't exactly known for being a dinosaur haven (Alberta has that) and the robot creatures from eons ago would look terribly out of place, surrounded by the natural beauty of the park.

Yup, dinosaurs in Stanley Park? Absolutely extinct. According to Commissioner Spencer Herbert, the "Flintstones-like" proposal has been sent back in the time machine it arrived in.
