New Zealand Site Sings Praise of Vancouver

vancouveraerial.jpg

I already know that I live in the best city on Earth, but the rest of the planet might not know that. Going all the way down to Kiwi-land, Stuff.co.nz recently highlighted Vancouver, showing off some of our city's best features.

For example, they noted that they felt perfectly safe walking up and down Granville Street late at night because the beggars and street people are surprisingly polite and much more courteous than their San Francisco counterparts. They were asked for "money to feed the cat" and an optimistic homeless person even asked for "American Express? Visa and a cellphone?"

Traveling through the rest of the city, they enjoyed the exotic food of Chinatown and the variety of ice cream at La Casa Gelato, and they sang praise of our commitment to go green. The local seafood and meat was also applauded, particularly that offered at CinCin, Cardero's, and The Whistler Brewhouse.

We love our city. And it's great to hear outsiders feel the same way.
