If you were dreaming of a white Christmas, you got it when the roads got filled with a dusting of the white stuff on December 25th. It made for a more festive atmosphere, but with the rains and the increased temperature, the remnants of that snowfall started to melt for Boxing Day shoppers. But we could be receiving another snowfall very soon.
Meteorologists predicted that we will get more snow today and while I saw a few flakes fall a couple of hours ago, nothing has really materialized... yet. Another storm is "brewing" they say, and we should be expecting somewhere between two and four centimetres of snow today. At the same time, as much as 10cm could be piling up on our sidewalks.
This is great news for ski and snowboard enthusiasts, because if there's snow down here, there's got to be snow on the hills. All Grouse Mountain runs are open with total snow depth at almost 300cm. Similar conditions can be found at Mount Seymour, Cypress Mountain, and Whistler Blackcomb.
