Mentally Ill Ninja Arrested in Vancouver

This is definitely a bit of an oddball story. Over the weekend, a teenager entered a neighbour's house dressed like a ninja and armed with a Samurai sword. The een is currently being held for psychiatric assessment and he has been arrested a few times in the past under the Mental Health Act.

As far as we can tell, the teen -- who will remain unnamed -- does not appear to be dangerous in any way, but you can imagine the reaction of the neighbour when he saw the 19-year-old man attempt to turn the door knob and enter the house dressed "in a black karate outfit". The report is a little unclear as to whether the teen was in a full face-covered ninja outfit or if he was simply in a karate gi.

Because he was carrying a one-metre black-handled sword with a sheath, police may consider weapons charges, but this will depend on the outcome of his psychological evaluation.
