Float Relaxation is a new concept "lounge" in the retails space of the Wall Centre. Offering manicures, pedicures, and other spa-quality services doesn't make Float a spa, according to the owner. They're trying to provide a unique atmosphere that rivals the luxury of a spa without the unneccesary trimmings that increase costs and make the experience daunting to some people.
Their website puts it like this:
float is not a spa, we are a lounge with select esthetic services. Visit us for an hour and feel like you just had a few days off. No pretension, just great service!
What they've created is a small oasis of bliss in this busy city.
I went to Float for a pedicure one afternoon after a particularly hectic and annoying day. Two hours after walking in the door, I emerged buffed, polished, and feeling much better about the world. And for only $60 it was an absolute steal. I'll definitely be back for more.
