Lottery for Olympic Opening Ceremonies Tickets Begins

Want a chance at attending the opening ceremonies when the 2010 Winter Olympics kick off in Vancouver and Whistler? As you know, prices for the opening ceremonies are very high, but you could score yourself a pair of seats for just five bucks. Just head on over to your favorite BCLC lottery terminal and purchase a $5 SportsFunder Instant Win ticket.

If you scratch away at the game card, you'll have a chance at winning one of 100 pairs of tickets that will be given away as part of the promotion. Your chances of scoring a pair of seats is 1 in 5,000. Like other scratch-and-win cards, there are other cash prizes that you can win as well, bringing your overall chance of winning something is one-in-four.

Tickets to the opening ceremonies will go on sale next year with prices ranging from $175 to $1,100 each.
