Lesser Known Vancouver Attractions

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer recently put up an article that highlights some of the lesser known attractions in and around the Vancouver area. Sometimes, being a homegrown resident of this town, I tend to forget just how many wonderful things this city has to offer, even if they're typically geared towards tourists.

Be a tourist in your own town and check out these six great places that are only a short drive away from the Downtown Vancouver core. We have more than ~~Science World~~ the Telus World of Science and Stanley Park, don't you know?

The Canadian Museum of Flight is located in Langley and gives you a glimpse into aviation history.
The Port Moody Station Museum showcases the area's history and its relationship with the CPR.
Power House at Stave Falls is located in Mission and teaches you everything you'd want to know about electricity.
The Cloverdale Flea Market in Aldergrove is "a great place to pick up cheap consumer necessities, such as batteries and razor blades."
Kuan Yin Temple in Richmond demonstrates our commitment to multiculturalism. And admission is free.
Maplewood Farm in North Vancouver "has introduced generations of city-slicker visitors to the cuddly side of pastoral life with its 200 highly approachable birds and domestic animals."
