Learn to Cook with Friends and Family at the Pacific Institue of Culinary Arts

logo.gifIf you're looking for something a little bit different to do the next time you're entertaining visitors to Vancouver, or if you're just looking for something fun to do with a group of friends, check out the private lessons at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts.

In a two-hour class, you'll learn a number of hands-on techniques while preparing a three-course meal (custom designed based on seasonal ingredients and your dietary preferences), all under the instruction of European-trained Chef Instructors. At the end of your class, you and your friends get to enjoy the meal that you've prepared in the Institutes restaurant. The cost is $150 per person for groups up to 5, or $120 per person for groups of 6 or more.

If you like shopping and eating more than cooking, you can try the Taste and Market Tour instead. It's a 1.5 hour tour of Granville Island Market led by one of the Institute's Chef Instructors, who will teach you about produce, meat ,and fish selections. Then it's back to the Institute to enjoy a gourmet 3-course meal prepared by the Institute's advanced students. The cost is $75 per person.

You can find out more about these and the Institute's other programs at www.picachef.com
