Jeff Cowan Signs Two Year Contract Extension with Vancouver Canucks

Although the 2006-2007 NHL season is behind us, that doesn't mean that there isn't an overflow of hockey news to keep us entertained through the summer months. We already know that a few key players will be returning to the Vancouver Canucks this fall, like superhero Roberto Luongo, but what about grit? Well, we can be sure to get some of that, because the Canucks have officially signed a two-year contract extension with Jeff Cowan.

Last year, Cowan played 42 games with Vancouver, putting up seven goals and three assists. If the Canucks didn't sign this extension, Jeff would have become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

Here's a clip from Game 1 against the Anaheim Ducks. Guess who gets the goal?
