Jeff Buttle To Bow Out After 2010 Games

jeffbuttle.jpg

It's probably best to quit while you're ahead. That's seems to be the thinking behind Jeff Buttle's decision to end his competitive figure skating career after the 2010 Olympics here in Vancouver.

You might remember Jeff Buttle from the 2006 Winter Olympics where the Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario native took home a bronze medal. He also a 2005 world silver medalist. He's proud of what he has done so far in his career and feels that he "wont' be going anywhere past 2010." He goes on to say that he has "accomplished a lot as a competitor."

After the 2010 Olympic Games, Jeff Buttle will continue with figure skating, because there are "things I want to do in the sport besides competing." He plans to go into more touring ice shows.
