Janis Spindel Asks - Do you want to marry a Vancouver multi-millionaire?

janice spindelIf you don't know Janis Spindel, think of her as the Tiger Woods of the matchmaking world. She is world-renowned, sought-after and highly paid to essentially stage private 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' sessions, and her clients usually have cash, life experience and good looks.

Now, Janis Spindel has a new client, and he's a multi-millionaire Vancouverite named "Bruce", widowed and in his early 40s he's hired Janice to find him what he thinks is likely to be a 28'ish, athletic 'local' lady.

The ideal bachelorette should be 28 years of age or older, well-educated, sophisticated, athletic, preferably a non-smoker. She should also be "very attractive," "well-groomed" and in good shape.

Interested applicants should call her New York office at (212) 987-1582 for an interview.

'very' attractive? Had it read 'attractive', I'm in. But 'very' attractive. Ya lost me. I need my soy lattes babe, extra pounds and all. Read more about 'bachelor Bruce' and his quest with 'Janis the hunter' after the jump.

Janice Spindel is a scam artist. So if you are a client looking to hire her, you can kiss your money good buy. If you are a girl, I would reconsider dealing with her, she is psychotic. She is mean and rude and just horrible. DON'T deal with her!

Janis is a flake. She told me I was too fat and ugly for a men to ever love me. I am 5'10 and weight 140lbs. One of her assistants told me that she lies about how many matches she has done. And talk about unprofessional. She showed up in old NEON green sweats and a hair scrunchy. Ever seen that Sex and the City episode? Well thats what I am talking about. She cheats men and women out of money. Never use her services!

She is totally a ripoff preying on women with promises of the perfect guy that does not even exist! Her assistant told me so! Save your money or else you will just be set up on a fake date! And asked to pay more money.

She's a fake. You would have better luck going on match.com or some other website. I have met her personally and, yes she did arrive in a really cheap looking jogging outfit. I've done a bit of research and she perhaps has only a few clients a year. She makes her money from "casting calls" where the women each have to hand over to her about $75 cash, just to meet her. And they have to buy her book... Do the math- 100 ladies paying $100 per month cash equals $10,000 CASH for her. That's why the IRS is after her. Don't fall for this scam.

Janis is crazy! She set me up with some guys and when I didn't get back to one of them immediately she began writing me abusive emails and leaving phone messages screaming at me. I had to stop opening up her emails because they were so nasty and degrading that they were upsetting. I decided after a half dozen that if I got anymore I was going to file a police report but she ended up not contacting me anymore so I never filed a police report.

Wow - this is unbelievable. Am glad I came across this site. She claims to be all that (and yes I have met her when she visited our Canadian city). I must agree she didn't act or dress like a Million dollars... so how can she represent the Elite? Was disappointed and never got a follow up call or intro. I am surprised TANYA did indeed get introductions.... but were they worth it or what you expected?

I am getting abusive emails from Janis and have experienced exactly what is described above in regard to promises not kept. I would really like to get in touch with others about their experiences with Janis Spindel. Perhaps all together we can do something and stop her once and for all and protect others in the future. Perhaps a facebook support page...

I spoke with Janis in June 2010 and she told me she would be in Los Angeles in September 2010 to be interviewing women at that time. She took $25.00 of mine via credit card. I stayed in touch with her office, asking if they had a date in mind in September because there are 2 Jewish holidays at that time. They had no date in site. I called again on September 8th asking if there was a date set for Janis to be in L.A. to interview the women in L.A. Her receptionist had no date and just kept telling me that she would be coming. I again reminded her of the Jewish holidays, and she said that she would be coming and I would be notified. I told her that his appeared to be quite unprofessional. I said that I had been on her list for 3 months and if there were other women as well, what were they waiting for ? She couldn't answer any of my questions. All she could say was, Janis is very professional and she will be here in September. Today is October 1st, 2010. I have yet to hear from her. I have left another message today asking for a reimbursement of my $25.00. Her word is meaningless. She makes claims that she travels all over the globe and will be in my town at a particular time. YEAH RIGHT! I think I will hold my breath a little more. If she lies about the time and place, she's probably lying about the goods. I'm glad there is a place for me to share what happened to me, and I'm glad I only potentially lost $25-. According to her, she charges the guys a minimum of $25,000.00 and up. Janis Spindel and her matchmaking business is a huge scam. Stick to Match.com, eharmony and the companies where you actually have control over your own dating.

Yes. this lady is a scam artist. I met her once in New York and one look at her and you can tell she hasn't got a clue how to represent the elite. If you ask her for references, she won't give you any. that's because she doesn't have any. The very few men that she manages to suck money out of are generally highly undesirable, in their late 40's and beyond and no young lady in their 20's or 30's who are even halfway attractive would be interested. I have met women who were hired by Janis to be "decoy dates" for these men.
(ie: pay the ladies $100 per hour to attend a 'date", and charge the poor sucker $10,000 for the privilege off "meeting" her.)
