It's more than street meat: It's Japa-Dog!

Finally, today, after walking past it many time, I decided to check out the Japa-dog stand at Burrard and Smithe.

Japa-dog is not your average hot dog stand. They specialize in Japanese-style toppings. They have three main options:

Oroshi: bratwurst with special soy sauce, green onions, and daikon (Japanese radish)

Misomayo: turkey smokie with special miso sauce, jaiware (Japanese radish sprouts), and Japanese mayo.

　I had the Terimayo on a veggie dog, and it was one tasty dog. The salty taste of the seaweed went surprisingly well with the veggie dog.

Japa-dog has a web site where you can check out their menu, their many media mentions and awards, and their encounters with celebrities.

Or, visit them in person to try a Japadog for yourself. On Burrard, just North of Smithe, between the IGA and the Sutton Place hotel.
