Is The Strike Going to End Soon?

samsstrike.jpg

Vancouver is supposed to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It's supposed to be one of the most livable cities in the world. It's supposed to be a premiere international travel destination, mating ski hills with sandy beaches, culture with couture. This civic strike, however, has put quite a damper on our fair city. There's garbage flying everywhere, the public libraries are closed, and no one can enjoy the services offered by the community centres. This can't be good.

Well, CTV.ca is reporting that the strike may soon be drawing to a close, after two-and-a-half months of a virtual standoff between the two groups. Their story is saying that "union insiders speculate a resolution to the civic strike could be reached before the Thanksgiving holiday."

I sure hope so.
