Inexpensive but tasty Lebanese food at Nuba

Nuba is one of those places you can pass a thousand times without going in. I've walked past it countless times on my way to or from the bus stop, but until last night I'd never ventured inside.

After a long afternoon of cleaning out my storage locker (why do we let those things get to be such a mess??), I needed something quick and tasty that was made by someone other than me. So, finally, I gave Nuba a call.

I had the Najib's Special plate -- crispy cauliflower served with pita, hummus, roasted potatoes, salad, and taboulleh. For $9.75, it was an absolute ton of food -- it definitely filled the void that the storage locker had created!

Soon, I'll be heading back to try out the falafel.

Nuba is really a little hole in the wall, and doesn't look like it would be a very exciting place to eat in, but for takeout, I highly recommend it.

The Nuba location I visited is at 1206 Seymour St. There's another location at 322 W. Hastings. You can check them out online at nuba.ca.
