Grouse Mountain zipline opens today!

If you've been thinking that summer in Vancouver is way too boring, Grouse Mountain has the answer for you: mountain ziplining. The first phase of the Grouse Mountain Zipline opens today.

What's a mountain zipline? Well, you tie yourself into a harness high above the forest, then careen at up to 50 kilometres an hour along the mountain zipline. The Phase One zipline has three lines. at the end of your adventure, you'll get to see Grouse's two orphaned grizzly bears.

Phase One of the zipline opens today, and is open daily thereafter from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $70, or $40 for Grouse Mountain members.

Stay tuned for Phase Two, which opens in the fall. Grouse Maountain is billing it as "the most jaw-dropping, teeth-chattering zipline experience on the continent!"
