Everyone loves baby animals, right? They're absolutely adorable with their innocence, whimsy, and clumsy footing. If you love baby animals as much as the next person, it might be worth your while to head on over to the Greater Vancouver Zoo in Aldergrove to check out the latest seven foot addition.
A baby giraffe named Amryn has finally been introduced to the public. The two-month old measures 2.1 meters tall, making him one of the biggest babies you will ever see. His public debut was delayed due to a "rocky start when he refused to nurse from his mom." Born on December 20th, Amryn also rejected a milk replacement, causing on-site veterinarians to be even more worried.
Thankfully, Amryn was more than happy to feed on plain cow's milk, quickly putting on weight and getting back up to a healthy disposition. Amryn now weighs nearly 110 kilograms, a gain of 45 kilograms since birth.
