Goodbye Yale -- for now...

Last night I went to the Yale to bid farewell to the iconic Granville Street location. The Yale will be closing soon to make room for a renovation at the classic space. There's still no word as far as I can tell where they will be moving to, although they were supposed to make the announcement Sept.16. Wherever the temporary location is, after a couple of years the Yale will return to its classic haunt, completely redone and refurbished.

If you've never seen Brickhouse, the house band at the Yale, you should really check them out. It's some great beer-swilling and dancing music, so I think you'd have to try pretty hard to go to the Yale and not have a good time.

As details emerge about the Yale's upcoming relocation, I'll post them here... For now, we know it's open at the existing location until at least Sept. 30. Performance dates appear on their web site for Oct an Nov, so they must have a location picked. Hopefully they'll tell us soon!
