Gas Surpasses $1.40 a Litre

gas140.jpg

If you've been meaning to take a summer road trip to your cabin in the Interior or somewhere across this wonderful nation of ours, you may want to consider a different mode of transportation than the family station wagon or SUV.

The price of gas in the Metro Vancouver area has reached a new high, hitting over $1.40 a litre at gas stations all across the city. At this rate of increase, we are fully on pace to hit the $1.50 mark before the kids get off school for the summer. The rising price of gas will probably have an effect on your travel plans even if you are not driving, because bus companies and airlines could be tacking on additional fuel surcharges to cover the extra cost.

The average price across the country is $1.335, so Vancouver is still slightly higher than the national average.
