If you're looking for something to do this Friday, why not check out the free outdoor screening of Dracula (the 1931 version starring Bela Lugosi) at Ceperly Meadows in Stanley Park?
The Vancouver Park Board is screening the movie on a large outdoor screen, starting at 9 p.m. (following some movie shorts). Next Friday (Aug. 29), you can check out the classic 1954 horror flick The Creature from the Black Lagoon, also starting at 9 p.m.
Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy some of the last warm nights of summer.
The Second Beach concession stand and washrooms will be open during the movies.
The movies will be canceled if there's too much wind, or if it rains. Th backup date, should one of the shows be canceled, is Sept. 5.
Ceperly meadows is located near the antique red fire engine and Second Beach.
