Four Seasons Hotel Undergoes Renovation

fourseasonsvancouver.jpg

It might be in preparation for the upcoming 2010 Olympic Games, but whatever the case, the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Vancouver is undergoing a rather massive renovation. The changes may not affect the hotel rooms themselves, but rather the "common areas" found downstairs.

Set to premiere this November, the Four Seasons Hotel will be unleashing a new restaurant, lounge, and bar. To create the new look, the hotel has contracted Engstrom Design Group based out of San Francisco. They hope that the design will be "bold and contemporary, referencing the contrast inherent in the striking natural beauty of the Vancouver geography and the textural urban context." Those are the words of EDG CEO and President Jennifer Johanson.

"Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver has been a part of the community for over 31 years and this renovation is significant." says General Manager Guy Rigby. "This isn't just a renovation; we are adding a whole new flavour to the city".
