Five Must-Eats at PNE: Part 1

minidonut.jpg

As you know, there happens to be a little exhibition going on at Hastings and Renfrew right now. It's an annual tradition around these parts to head to the PNE every August, because it's the last two weeks before all the kids have to go back to school. Some people go for the Superdogs, others for the carnival games, but then there is also the appeal of the food stands.

All this week, I'll be highlighting different items that you can eat at the Pacific National Exhibition. What better way to kick off this series than with the legendary mini-donuts! You can get them in your choice of plan or cinnamon and sugar, and while the price has risen slightly over the years, the flavour and raw enjoyment has not diminished.

Personally, I prefer the mini-donuts from Those Little Donuts, but you can also get your sugary donut fill at a few other stands around Hastings Park. Don't forget to grab a bag or two for munching late in the night or the next day!
