Extreme Weather in Vancouver

I left my office building at about 4 p.m. today, and wondered why it was so dark. Well, about 2 minutes later, the skies opened up, and hail the size of grapes fell for 5-10 minutes.

By the time I reached my apartment, this is what was left:

Now, thunder and lightning. Very odd.

I thought it was supposed to be Spring...
