These sponsorship deals are pretty far-reaching. Agreements have already been set up for the official suppliers of telecommunications infrastructure and dairy products, and the latest "exclusive supplier" status has been issued to Purolator Courier. Purolator will be the official courier for the 2010 Winter Games.
This serves as an extension of an existing agreement wherein Purolator is already the official supplier of courier services for the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Canadian Olympic team during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the 2010 Games in Vancouver, and the 2012 Games in London.
Purolator -- with its over 12,500 employees, 3000 trucks, 140 operations locations, and 1300 shipping locations across Canada -- will be used to ship event tickets and other Vancouver 2010 Olympic merchandise. The courier will also deliver documents for supporting the day-to-day operations for VANOC and related organizations.
