David Beckham's Vancouver Visit Gets Delayed

If you bought tickets to the game between the Vancouver Whitecaps and the LA Galaxy, you may need to take another look at your schedule. David Beckham re-injured himself on Wednesday -- shown above -- and is expected to be out for about six weeks.

Beckham injured his knee in the LA Galaxy's SuperLiga final loss to Mexican champion Pachuca. Given that the original Vancouver appearance was scheduled for October 3rd, there's no chance that Beckham would be able to play. A part of the contract between the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Vancouver Whitecaps is that Beckham must play at least 45 minutes of the game here.

No new date has been determined yet, but they say that the game will still happen in 2007.
