Cirque Du Soleil Coming Back to Town with Corteo

cirquedusoleil-corteo.jpg

Ever since I watched Mystere in Las Vegas' Treasure Island, I have been absolutely enraptured by Cirque Du Soleil. When Alegria came to Vancouver some time back, I jumped all over the opportunity to be enraptured by their stunning performance all over again. Well, it just may be time to break out the credit card again, because Cirque Du Soleil is touring its way back into Vancouver.

Scheduled for June 12 to 20, 2008, Cirque Du Soleil: Corteo started its tour in 2005. It is one of the company's more lighthearted productions, as Corteo means "a celebratory procession" in Italian. The story follows a clown who watches his own funeral taking place in a carnival-like atmosphere.

On a side note, Cirque Du Soleil: Saltimbanco is set to arrive in Victoria on May 28th of next year and will stay in our province's capital until June 1st. For more information on either show, check out the official Cirque Du Soleil website.
