Canadians Baseball in Full Swing at Nat Bailey

rotate.thumbnail.jpgThere are few things in life as sweet as soaking up the afternoon sun with a beer in one hand and a hot dog in the other, watching a good old-fashioned baseball game -- even if, like me, you don't really like baseball. Or hot dogs.

An afternoon at Nat Bailey is an afternoon well spent, no matter what happens on the field. The day I chose to catch the action, the C's lost. But with sunshine, friends, and the aforementioned dog 'n beer -- not to mention second-row seats on the third base line -- it was about as good as an afternoon could get. And those second-row seats? They cost a whopping $14.50.

If you have a job like I do, where you can take the afternoon off to catch a weekday nooner, it's well worth it. Heck, play hooky if you have to -- you're unlike to be caught on TV taking in a C's game.

Next up, the C's try to extend their winning streak to two games (which I suppose means it's not really a winning streak yet) against the Yakima Bears Sunday at 7:05 p.m. at a game that features Fireworks presented by Global BC.

You can find the whole season schedule, get up to speed on the Canadians' record, or buy tickets here.
