Canada Wins 2007 HSBC Celebration of Light

Over the course of the past two weeks, the HSBC Celebration of Light has been igniting the night sky with some fantastic fireworks set to music. This year's competition was held between Spain (represented by Ricardo Caballer Pirotechnica), Canada (Archangel Fireworks Inc), and China (Jiangxi Province Lidu Fireworks Corporation Ltd.).

As usual, there were four great shows to watch, all of which were very worthy of the price of admission (zero). I had a good time on Saturday night, watching the grand finale where each of the three competitors had a short segment, followed by a super finale that left the crowd in awe.

After all the smoke cleared and the explosions spent, Canada was named as the winner of this year's competition. Congratulations to the home team! Kudos to Kelly Guille and Sean Procter, the designers of Canada's performance.
