Canada Agrees: Vancouver is Best City in the Country

People who live in this town already knew that. That's why they live here. But it seems like the rest of the country has agreed that Vancouver is the best city in Canada. Angus Reid recently conducted an opinion poll of over 1,000 Canadians to rate the nation's cities.

In addition to winning the honor of being the best city in Canada, Vancouver was also voted as the best city to live in and the best city to vacation in, so whether you live here or you just visit, Vancouver truly is the best place to be in the country. You've got the mountains for skiing, the beaches for lounging, the parks for nature walking, and the culture for expanding your horizons.

Other highlights from the poll included Toronto being picked as the best city to do business in, Montreal for having the best dining and nightlife, and Calgary for being the best city to find work. Interestingly, Vancouver ranked lower than Saskatoon for nightlife.

It should also be noted that Vancouver ended up being the top city in Canada by a fairly narrow margin. Our favorite town got 13% of the vote, slightly edging out the runner-up -- Montreal -- which got 11%. Toronto, Calgary, and Quebec City were all tied at 10%.
