Caffeine is the new Cocaine - Price gap narrows!

artigiano.gifDid that headline give you a jolt? Imagine the rush you get when you spend $135 for a half-pound of beans! Starting this week, the city's best coffee house/chain Caffe Artigiano is selling a special premium coffee bean from Panama that is quite possibly the most expensive coffee ever sold in Vancouver. We're talking $15 for one cup of brewed coffee! How insane is that? Seriously though, it must be an incredible bouquet of flavour to command such an outrageous bounty. Apparently they only possess a very limited supply of this 'stuff' so it will be interesting to see how quickly Vancouver's Javarati slurp up this rare score.

For our readers who may not be too familiar with Caffe Artigiano, here's a great video documentary featuring Artigiano co-owner Sammy Piccolo talking about his passion for coffee and his work as a barista at the Caffe.
