Bryan Adams Had a Secret Concert Last Night

bryanadams.jpg

Bryan Adams is perhaps one of Canada's best known rock stars, so it's a little surprising that he didn't come crashing through Vancouver with a huge concert at a larger venue like BC Place Stadium. Instead, the rock icon put on a secret concert at a church last night, performing songs in front of just 300 very lucky fans.

Better still, Adams was playing songs from his new album, "11", at St. Andrew's Wesley Church. He already knew that he was going to be in town but it seemed like the intimate affair wasn't nearly as publicized as some of his other appearances. Adams is currently living in London and has just completed a small European tour. His world tour is scheduled to start next month, but there are no Canadian dates announced.

"I would play here all the time, it's just that (manager) Bruce Allen doesn't want me to, " said Bryan Adams. "I'm amazed every time I come back to Vancouver how much it's changed. You go away for a month and there's three more skyscrapers. I think the city's developing beautifully -- it looks great."
