Apple Store Now Open in Pacific Centre

This has been a long time coming and it could be pointing toward a monumental release this summer. Saturday morning marked the opening of Western Canada's first Apple Store. Awash in glossy white and staffed with countless joyful Apple-ites, Vancouver's first Apple Store opened in Downtown Vancouver.

Located inside Pacific Centre, next door to the recently opened H&M clothing store, the Apple Store drew a huge crowd on Saturday morning with the first person joining the line around 5:45am. The store didn't open until 10am. People did not line up to get their hands on new technology; everything sold in the Apple Store can be found at other Vancouver retailers. They were much more interested in the sizzle than the steak.

Could the opening of the Apple Store mean that Canada's turn to the get the iPhone (probably the 3G iPhone) is just around the corner? We think so.
